Tim Mitchell is the Solicitor Director of Bay Legal. He was admitted in 1995 and enjoys practising law in a boutique commercial and general practice.
Tim worked in first tier law firms in the 1990s primarily in commercial transactions and infrastructure projects. Since establishing Bay Legal in 2005 he has continued to develop his practice in assisting personal clients and small to medium businesses in general commercial transactions, civil litigation, property, leasing, intellectual property and all forms of Court and administrative appeal representation. He also has considerable experience in criminal defence and employment matters and has been involved with the determination of numerous contested estate matters including Family Provision and disputed Wills matters in the Supreme Court of NSW.
Tim is a currently practising Notary Public and able to assist clients with international transactions in that capacity.
Prior to practising law, Tim gained a breadth of experience working in various political advisory roles and industrial relations. In 1989, Tim co-founded the Australia Asia Young Leaders Program Inc. He is currently the President of the M Club, Maroubra Bay.
For extracurricular activities, Tim enjoys being with his family, camping, reading and listening to history and philosophy.

Before joining Bay Legal as a Paralegal and now as a Solicitor, Penny was employed by a major Australian bank for 10 years. Penny’s banking career included various roles in lending, funds management and government and regulatory affairs. Penny also holds a Bachelor of Economics and is currently studying a Masters of Law at the University of Sydney.

Peter completed a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Laws and obtained Honours in both.
Peter was admitted as a legal practitioner in the Supreme Court of Victoria and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
Peter joined Bay Legal in August 2019 and has a keen interest in Family Law, Personal Injury Law and Workers Compensation. Peter also has experience in commercial law and estate planning.
Peter is committed to ensuring that he provides practical guidance to each of his clients.
Out of the office, Peter enjoys running and exploring the sights that Sydney has to offer.

Inggrid is a BAS Registered Agent and has over ten years experience as a bookkeeper. She also worked for many years in commercial enterprises in Indonesia prior to emigrating to Australia in 2000.

June has vast administrative experience having spent her career working for solicitors in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Australia. She has run significant branch offices for firms and worked as the Personal Assistant to principals. June has extensive knowledge of the legal process and the critical role of dealing with clients in a personal capacity. Not the least, she brings an appetite for numeric skills to Bay Legal and helps with the accounts side of the business.
Away from work June enjoys walking, aqua aerobics, sport (Manchester City fanatic) and reading. On Monday mornings she enjoys regaling the office with City’s performance on the weekend.
June supports the Children’s Cancer Charity Committee and assists with charity work whenever she can.

A Maroubra local, Joshua is currently undertaking his Practical Legal Training to become admitted as a Solicitor. He graduated 11th in his cohort with distinction average at the University of New South Wales and received Honours for his research into the regulation of urban beekeeping in Sydney through land and property law.
Joshua has worked as a Barrister’s assistant and as Volunteer Legal Staff for community legal centres prior to joining Bay Legal.
Joshua is a passionate chef, pickler and home brewer.

Christie joined Bay Legal as Office Manager / Conveyancing Secretary in early 2019. For the previous 18 years, she managed the administration of a busy 20 lawyer practice in Sydney’s CBD. Christie has over 23 years secretarial experience working in legal services.
Christie brings to our clients a wealth of knowledge in all forms of legal process. Her experience ensures that in a busy practice environment, client needs are always top of mind.
On weekends, Christie follows the mighty Souths Sydney Rabbitohs and volunteers her Sundays to assist around the grounds of the South Sydney District Junior Rugby League competition.
